Review-O-Rama

This is what you get when you Google popcorn box...awesome.

I've seen so many films, that writing proper reviews would just take too long. Here's a rundown of some of the films I've seen lately...click the titles to link to info pages at IMDB.COM!

Dan in Real Life - formulaic but well done. I still think Carell is best at stupid comedy but the story is charming 3/5 stars.

Step Up 2 - check out Meg's review below. I thought this was better than #1. Cute story, highly entertaining, lovable cast. All good...3/5 for what it is...a dancing movie!

Drillbit Taylor - Just what I thought...watered down Superbad for the younger set with a few belly jigglers but not much else. Entertaining but at the lowest possible level. Owen Wilson phones it in...2.5/5

The Marathon Man (1976) - a classic actioner starring Dustin Hoffman as a man who unwillingly gets embroiled in a Nazi smuggling scheme. Very tense, but slightly overlong... the performances by Hoffman, Laurence Olivier and Roy Scheider are powerful enough to overcome this. 4/5 stars

Gone Baby Gone - Directed by Ben Affleck, who proves he's much better at this than acting, and stars Casey Affleck (little bro of Ben). The story is quite intense, and begins with a kidnapping. The entire movie is engaging, from the gritty and interesting way its filmed to the powerhouse performances from Affleck and Ed Harris. Out of all these films, I'd say Gone Baby Gone is my pick for the best. 4.5/5 stars
