The Black Hole (of movies)

Everyone knows that May, June, July and even August are huge months for movies because that's summer in America, where Hollywood is y'all! What some people don't realise is that the month or two leading up to this blockbuster season is known as The Movie Black Hole.

For example, this week in Australia my choices at cinemas were...Superhero Movie, How She Move or the Prom Night remake. Yep, blacker than black.

These bleak selections haven't even sent me to my DVD player for solace. Oh no. Instead I've given up for my old failsafe, TV. I'm currently re-watching the entire series of the X Files in preparation for the new X Files movie. I'm also finally finishing Season 3 of the excellent new Battlestar Galactica series, because Season 4 just started in the States.

I'm really excited about Iron Man which is a couple of weeks away, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall starts here next week. Reports suggest it's actually funny. Go figure! It's got that dude from How I Met Your Mother and that chick from Heroes. Good enough for me!

I'm sorry for being slack lately! Don't forget to add me to twitter HERE if you want daily updates of what I'm blogging about or why I'm not blogging.

Let me know what you've been watching lately in the comments below.

Man, I've been missing tv for a few months now. I loved Battlestar Galactica while I was watching it on DVD. I never finished the 2nd season I think. I'm so behind. :( I watched Heroes, LOST and Smallville too, but I've fell behind on all those too. oh TV, when will we meet again? haha.
